The benefits of mozzarella for children
In addition to using our conventional pizza dough and base (see the recipes in the article 10 healthy pizzas for kids), choosing mozzarella to create a healthy pizza is not innocent.
In fact, mozzarella is a cheese that offers incredible health benefits, especially at a stage like childhood, when children are growing.
Among the main benefits of mozzarella, we highlight:
– Being rich in vitamin B7 (biotin), this promotes satiety and helps in reducing glucose indices,
– Its high calcium content promotes better growth, as well as dental and bone health,
– The presence of phosphorus in mozzarella’s composition ensures that there is a greater absorption of calcium,
– It guarantees better cardiovascular health, due to the presence of potassium.
– The presence of zinc ensures improved immunity, by increasing the white blood cell count.
